Capt Hiram's in Sebastian
Another one of my aunt and I's favorite places to eat. We have eaten here a few times and after we finish we walk around out back by the water. I have had their Maryland Crab cake sandwich and their Mahi Mahi wrap. Both very good. I didn't take pictures last time we were here but I will on our next trip. And they also have a gift shop that we somehow missed. I must add a magnet if they have one on my frig.
Yummy Reuben Sammy ( no recipe )
Visiting my aunt this last time we stopped in St Augustine for lunch. She was told by her friend to check this place out and funny is that we had been here before. The site where Meehan’s sits was originally used for construction storage during the building of the infamous Castillo de Marcos (located just 150 feet North of the restaurant). Meehan’s was once the private home of William Diskmuits, and was built in 1917. Mr. Diskmuits was the first president of Florida National Bank. Most recently, Meehans’ was known as Tavern On The Bay, which is where we had eaten before. We sat upstairs inside and had a great view of the water and the Lion's Bridge. We both decided to have their Reuben sandwich which I have to say was the best one I have ever had. The cornbeef was sliced thin and was so moist. It was served in a little basket on marbled rye and there was alot of meat on it. You could have made 2 more sandwiches! It was served with a pickle and I had fried which were tossed in a parmesan cheese and herb mixture. The fries were good but they need more salt. I had sweat tea with my meal and it was so filling and so good. We will definetly be eating here again. Just hope it lasts because its really good food and nice atmosphere.

For Lunch
After a few weeks we had an appointment to get the stitches out of Tim' hand. Everything went fine and we decided to go and have a bite to eat at Park Deli which was right by the doctor's office.
I had a Hummus Tabouli Pita sandwich which was sooo good. I had never tried tabouli before but I love parsley and it was so refreshing to eat. Tim had a bbq pork sandwich which he liked. And a lady was going around with samples of chocolate macaroons. Those were so good too and I will be looking for a recipe for everything we had to try it out myself.
Sorry I didnt take pictures of our meals we were just so hungry. Next time. I do love this little deli. It is inside the doctors building at 10407 Centurion Pkwy N. #108. It is not a big place but the taste and prices weren't bad either.

Olive Garden
We decided since we have been stuck in the house for awhile due to Tim's broken hand to go out to eat. So we went to the Olive Garden in Orange Park. I haven't been in awhile and the food was really good.
After being seated we got our drinks. They are are offering a free sample of some wine they have. It's a free glass. Unfortunately we passed on the wine this time. I ordered sweet tea and Tim had Dr. Pepper.
We usually have an appetizer when we go out but passed on it because we knew we would be getting alot of food.
Out came the salad and bread sticks.
Then after we ate all of the salad and bread sticks our orders came out.
Tim had the Tour of Italy which was Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna and Alfredo Fettucini. He only ate half. He was so full already from the salad and breadsticks.
I had the Seafood Portifino which had mussels, scallops and shrimp cooked in a garlic wine sauce on noodles. It was sooo good..but like Tim I too could only eat half...so you know what that means...LEFTOVERS!!! and i don't know why but when you are sooo full and need a box to take home your meal why does the waiter ask if you'd like dessert? There was no way I could fit any more food in my stomach...lol

Shells...Fish Anyone?
I have to thank my aunt for taking me to Shells. I had never been before and now its usually where we go after church when I'm out by her. I always like to try something different because I'm afraid I will miss out on something really good. Shells is little like Red Lobster but not everything is greasy and loaded down with cream and cheese. I decided to try The Big Easy. It was grilled mahi-mahi topped with shrimp, scallops which was sauted with tomatoes, mushrooms and onions. This was cooked in a light wine sauce. It was really good and was served with rice and steamed veggies.I didn't take a picture this time being I didnt bring my camera to dinner....next time!
A Hot Dog is Just A Hot Dog...I don't think so...
For those of you who like their dogs with just mustard or ketchup then this isn't for you. Out on a recent visit with my aunt she took me to a little place called Long Doggers. It is a small place in Melbourne ( with a few other locations ) and we went there for lunch after a few hours at the zoo.
I have found heaven in a hotdog. I looked over the menu and decided to try their Rueben dog and their onion rings. The onion rings I am going to pass on next time and get the waffle fries. The rings where huge and very very greasy. But let's get back to the hot dog from heaven. First off it was a foot long and was on a bun that wasn't too bready so to speak. I so hate losing the dog in the bun. This dog stuck out on both sides. On this dog was some sauerkraut and melted swiss cheese. Drizzled on top was a creamy thousand island dressing. Every bite was wonderful.I fell in love with this one. But there are many others to choose from and many toppings so you can create your own heavenly dog.
Oh yummy!
