I grew up in Shake and Bake. For chicken and pork. Regular and bbq. I come to realize as you get older you are saddened by the amount of salt in your favorites. Now a days we read whats in some of our foods. Yikes! So here's my version of homemade Shake and Bake.
What you need:
4 cup of dried bread crumbs
1 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
In a bowl with a lid, add all ingredients. Replace the lid and shake well to mix all ingredients. You can either place your meat in the bowl and shake (If you have a large enough bowl, or dump mixture into a ziplock and use that for coating the meat.Bake you chicken at 350 for 45 to 50 mins depending on how much chicken you have. Always check to see if the juices run clear. Safe time limit on chicken is 50 mins.
